Beltzville State Park (8-Feb-2016)

Going back to an area I had just worked on two days last week, the idea was just to go on a hike with Penny and not pick up anything. Two things did not work in favor of that idea. The first was that almost all of the snow was gone, last time there were still large areas covered. The second was that I let Penny lead and she took side trails that I had not previously been on.

Most of the items were the same old thing, cans, chicken liver containers, bottles, but the photo on the left was something different. A full can of shaving gel. It had a line of duct tape around the middle of it and I can't think of what someone was doing with it.

Had a short break on the gravel beach before getting back on the trails. There were Canada Geese making a racket on the opposing shore, there was not much else stirring though.

This was a full pack of trash. With the second hike of the day done Penny looked worn out so I packed up the trash in the car and called it a day. I do want to point out that I spent most of the time at this location hiking on State Gamelands, but the majority of trash was found by the waters edge which is on State Park property and that is why this post is labeled as the park.
You too can help with taking out the trash! If you get out hiking take a grocery bag with you, give it a second use and fill it with trash while you are out! Every bit helps. You can also help contributing to this project here: Help Fund Taking Out the Trash
