My original thought was to collect and store all of the recyclables until I completed the project. The reasoning behind wanting to do that was to show just how much trash was at the bottom. Well, I ran out of storage space, so I decided to do a recycling run with the plastics today. The above photo shows what I have collected to date, excluding the non-recyclables that have either been thrown out or left in the parking lot. So this is it, 13 bags of plastics, thinner bottles crushed down and one full bag of crushed cans. If I had to estimate, there is still probably this much up there. I will be starting up again tomorrow and I think it will be another full week of collecting.
