Mauch Chunk Lake (12-August-2015)

This was just on a morning Penny walk. The purpose was not to collect trash, but just to get her out for before I got out on the river. Still collected about a quarter of a trash bag. It was a mixture of trash and recyclables.

This is exactly as I found it. Someone was nice enough to collect their trash after fishing, but decided that this sign was a good enough receptacle and someone else would take care of it for them. The rest of the junk that was collected were a couple cans, several bottles and some bait containers.

Got to see a bunch of juvenile Pickerel Frogs along our way. It is always good to see amphibians when out and about even if they are just common ones.

Some Coral Fungus. There were several patches of these all in a line. This was the best looking one in the row.

Penny seemed to be happy with the walk. We headed home I dropped her off grabbed my kayak and headed to clean up more of the river. That post will be up shortly.
