I had to sort out the aluminum from all of the recycling bags before I took the plastics down to the recycling bins. So this is everything that was collected this week. I decided to do a count of the bottles and cans. I never have before and I just wanted to see what an average is for a single garbage bag. The total was 444 plastic bottles of all sizes, 64 aluminum cans and 6 glass bottles. This count didn't include plastic cups or other containers. So the average for a completely full trash bag is around 100 bottles, so that can give me a rough estimate at the end of the year of about how much I have collected.
